Rating (x/10)

Performance

Naturally, the performance of the ASUS V7100/T is nearly identical to the performance of all other GeForce2 MX based cards. In addition, the 6ns memory may not be as fast as the memory found on other cards, but it will get the job done right.

5.0

Price

The price of the V7100/T is a bit high, as are all of the other V7100 series cards. Although this may be a result of better quality and software bundle, it still is money out of one's pocket.

4.0

Drivers

Packaged with ASUS's custom driver build, the features of this driver set are nice, as its visual appearance. If you crave constant updates, however, NVIDIA's reference drivers seem like the logical choice for you. At lest the user has the power to decide.

6.5

Features

The features are what make the V7100/T what it is. Everything from the large heatsink to the integrated TV-out decoder, the V7100/T is rather feature packed.

7.5

Retail Availability

As with almost every ASUS product, the V7100 series cards can be found at a huge number of online stores. Too bad we have yet to see ASUS enter the retail location market like Creative and Guillemot/Hercules have.

8.0

Documentation & Software Bundle

For the first time in quite a long time, we were actually pleased with one game in the software bundle. Normally consisting of repackaged freeware or useless games, ASUS's decision to package Solider of Fortune with the V7100 made us happy. In addition, the printed and comprehensive manual was great and has become something we almost expect from ASUS.
